THE MIGHTY MUSHROOM

You just had some unexpected news that you were going to have company for dinner. This quick and easy recipe will make a great appetizer or accompaniment to the dish that you decided to prepare.

For 4 people as a side dish or 6 people as an appetizer, pick up about a pound of fresh small button mushrooms.

Clean them well and trim the stems.

In a large sauté pan, melt about 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat just until it begins to bubble.

To this add 6 cloves of garlic that has been peeled and minced.

Sautee for a minute or so until you can begin to smell the aroma.

Now add your cleaned mushrooms and sauté for 4-5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

These can be served in a small dish with toothpicks or appetizer picks, or serve next to your main dish.

To spice it up just a bit if you wish, just before serving add 1/4 cup of dry white wine and simmer for about a minute before serving.

These mushrooms will just melt in your mouth when they are warm!
