Storing Cheese

Your kids love cheese, but you want to try to find a way to keep it from molding in the fridge.

Cleanliness is the start. Before handling cheese, be sure to wash your hands well.

If you buy cheese that is wrapped in cheese paper, keep the paper and wrap the leftover pieces in it until you are ready to use it.

If you don't have cheese paper you can wrap softer cheeses, like mozzerella or cream cheese in wax paper. Harder cheeses like cheddar or parmesian, you can wrap in aluminum foil.

Clear a small space in your crisper drawer and place the cheese there. Cheese likes it when it is cold and humid. If it is too dry, the cheese will dry out and crack.
