BAKING SODA & POWDER

Baking Soda and Baking Powder have a shelf life of approximately 8-12 months.

When you purchase a new box or can write the purchase date on the bottom.
When you are cooking you can check the date before using it. If the date is more than 12 months old, buy a new container.

As the Soda and Powder age, it will start to loose its effectiveness. This is a very small expense to make sure that the recipe turns out correctly.
