BAKING BACON
I have found that making bacon is a cumbersome task. It spits grease all over my kitchen and you have to constantly watch it and turn it until done.
I have found the easiest way to prepare the bacon is to bake it.
Take a large baking sheet with edges (jelly roll pan or cake pan) and line with aluminum foil.
Lay your bacon pieces on the foil with the pieces just touching.
Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 15-20 minutes depending on personal preference for crispiness.
Remove from the oven and serve everyone piping hot bacon at the same time.
After breakfast, just pull off the foil from the pan and toss. Clean up is done!

Thank you so much for this info, my family has been begging for bacon and it's Sunday morning so I thought I'd make it. Then I thought about the clean up and almost didn't do it.
I am looking forward to trying this.
Thanks,
Cheryl
Thanks so much!!! When the family comes in town bacon for breakfast is a must for us all, so hopefully this will cut the hassle it usually is to feed us all.
Thanks!
I knew it could be done! I just needed to find the info.
Thanks for the post!
Whats even better I've found, is using the cookie sheet as the receiver of fat as I am cooking the bacon on the same size cooling rack. In other words cooking the bacon on the open cooling rack ( bacon fat drips through to the sheet) I get a nice semi-dry piece of bacon, as most of the oil ends up on the cookie sheet. Try it. Really takes the time and hastle out of it.
Christmas morning, I needed to cook 3 lb of bacon, and I was dreading the task until I read these suggestions. It was great! Thanks for the information.
I have not cooked bacon in over 7 years. Now I have a hassle free way, thank you. I've also pulled it out of the oven 5 minutes early and brushed each piece with maple syrup then put them back in for the remaining 5 minutes. The maple syrup just bakes right in and is delicious.
